Yes, that's better than having pon do it, as I was thinking.

Pppconfig 2.0 is going to offer to set up scripts for dynamic dns and also
for swapping in an appropriate resolv.conf for each provider.  These
scripts will need to know the provider name.  I had been thinking of asking
that pon pass the provider name with ipparam, but I think it is better to
do it your way and put "ipparam <provider>" in the provider files.
