The only problem here is that the VGA16 framebuffer uses a different
memory organization than other framebuffers; XF86_FBDev will need some
work to adapt it to use vga16fb.
My guess is that the amount of actual work involved is fairly small; I
added functioning VGA16 support to a framebuffer program (ppmtofb) in
under two hours. The PITA is the compilation cycle and disk space.
