Debian Logo Contest

  Please, please, please lets not go off and cancel our request to the
Gimp Contest.  Going back on our deal with them would do more to ruin
Debian's Image than a bad logo ever would.  We promised (IIRC) 1) a
email address on debian.org 2) a CD pack Of Debian 2.1 (2.0?) and 3) the
use of their offering as the Debian logo.  Not doing any of these three
would look really bad IMHO.
  Instead, lets simply make a note for the next time we pick a logo (in
two years or so if ever again) and sift through the current offerings
and find one that works for use.  It may seem like there are so many
inappropriate ones, but that fact will simply make it easier when it
is time to find to find The Right One (TM).

  For example, my favorite one is gwido-1.  It looks good, in color and
in BW, but has a few problems.  It uses words all over the place.  But
this could easily be changed to accomadate us by the artist (who is a
debian user to read the Info with it on the web).  I'm sure he(she?)
would be happy to do this for us.

Here is an Idea:

Debian {GNU,BSD}/{Linux.FreeBSD,OpenBSD,NetBSD,Solaris,etc.}
		YOU WILL BE ASSIMILATED!!!!
