The idea with the Gimp contest was to get more professional people on board
for this, and it would be sad if the opposite is the case now.

Can't the professional people make the submission with Gimp, and, when they
won the contest, redraw it with a vector oriented program?

Much more important than the program used is the idea behind the logo, the
colors, the proportions and other things.

Please, if you are a real designer, bear with the limitataions of gimp until
you have won the contest.
