This is one thing I generally want to avoid (making decisions on my own
that affect the project as a whole)  I don't feel it would be my place to
drag people kicking and screaming toward my own personal agenda.  I will
be happy to start discussions and actually discuss bigger decisions with
the group at large, but in the end the developers make the decisions, not
me.

I just get to toss my requisite opinion onto the table while we're at it,
though I don't need to be leader to do that---as is clear to anyone who
has been reading this list for more than a week or two.
