That's the idea.  Have a separate box so that it doesn't impact on the
other machines.  An overloaded anon-cvs server is still going to be
serving a lot of people.  If a vendor can supply a box that can do the
job, that's something they can brag about.

Some other ideas:

 - ask to host anon-cvs off of lounge.mozilla.org:

    http://slashdot.org/articles/9806110811228.shtml

   2 Gigs of RAM, 80 gigs of hd, 4 CPUs, 1000 developers at once.

 - solicit for people to host a cvs mirror network (like FreeBSD does)
