gues on what i'm working, and why my hair is getting grey.
converting to our menu system isn't a big deal, but storing in our menu
system and copying back without loss ...

ok. that's the currelt location, so i can keep it.

a) its not dynamic : made on sysadmin request (if i understood fhs right)
b) if so, it must be /var/*/applnk (no new diretories direct under /var,
that would be against fhs and fsstnd). but where ?
