I also think data.d.n would be best, for now. As debtorrent continues to
mature, the hosting cost problem should dimish, over time, as well.

An extra set of data CDs could solve the problem users on a
non-networked box, with small pipes or on a pay-per-volume model face. I
see the main vs contrib issue similar to not owning a full CD set. Even
though you have only stuff from main, you can not install some programs
as there are dependencies on other discs which you simply don't own.

As the only people affected by this would be people who need/want the
space-intensive packages, I think the trade-off is more than fair.
Especially as the majority of users will not care for any of these
packages.


If there is need for hosting space, I can also chuck in or try to help
with the implementation overall.
