Oops, I'm sorry for the last message, I missed this one :-)
So I tried the CVS version of 1999-12-30, compiled with
choose_medium_test,
and it seemed to work. To be sure, I generated a whole CD. The CD
detection
now works fine with at least 2 CD drives.
Wow, this is the second time I manage to create a useable CD (there's
still
the problem with the modutils package, but while generating the
base_2.2.tgz
file I created the missing directory
/var/tmp/boot-floppies/dontrememberdirectory/lib/modules/2.2.13 :-) and
all
went fine (except that procps complains, but it works anyway after doing
an
apt-get -f install).
