I re-downloaded the images and tried again. This time I get the same as
the previous kernel. Below is the log.

btw, might want to try with earlyprintk=ttyS0,115200 and see if there are

My bad. While adding earlyprintk I realized I had a typo in my original bootargs. Kernel boots just fine. I'm installing wheezy now.
