Document conversion tools

Just a brief follow-up to my last post:

Writer2latex is a Java utility, which can be run from the shell or from
openoffice.org, to convert Open Document Format (ODF) documents to LaTeX for
editing or typesetting. It appears to be packaged for Debian as part of the
openoffice.org-writer package.

TeX4HT (also in Debian) can perform the reverse conversion from LaTeX to ODF
(or indeed to XHTML).

This illustrates my point about the advantages of ODF for document conversion.
If you're using LaTeX because you find it more accessible (or for other
reasons), the conversion tools are available for dealing with ODF.

WvHtml is available as part of the wv package. Xlhtml has its own Debian
package.
