Re: [Debconf-team] On Bosnian entry visas for South and Central Americas EXCLUDING Argentinians!

I think we *luckily* found this big problem in time....

I think the US/Japan/* goverment recomendation will make people think about attending or not, if we
also add this problem of having to travel abroad to get a visa, this will become chaoting and more
expensive...

Mexico peoples example, they should travel to argentina (~750USD) or to the US, where they need
another visa to get in...

If not, what Safir suggested about getting them "on the fly" on some other city...that will probably
mean staying at least 1 day-1 night in some city. Afaik, not all the flights let you do stop-free in
the middle of the flight and stay for a day there. So this might mean more expensive flights and
more people not being to attend... :(

If not, wait till getting to Sarajevo's airport to see if you get your visa...scary...I think many
people wouldn't buy the ticket without having the visa.

Reading Damog's mail about mexico not having embassy in bosnia, what happends if he losts his
passport or something like that? Probably most latin american countries dont have embassy...(I know
that's not a debconf's responsability...but would be nice to get a solution for that...)

So..having all this type of problems, I think we should do a good research on how to solve all this
stuff asap, and find better solutions.

My 2 cents,
Marcela
