IMH experience, "proffessional translations/tranlators" sucks when it
comes to computers and free software. I think geeks will do it better.
Also, having translated slides could be helpful for the audience.
Or asking the speaker to keep sentences short and simple and a slow
flow of words. But nothing beats geek translations :)
