Bug#668305: apt: Silently installed cron job deletes files (despite comments to the contrary)

We can't mention every possible file a package might drop into our
configuration directory. It's the job of the package who dropped it there
to tell the user what it does and why.

We mention a specific file (02periodic) so that users who set it for
themselves might have a pointer where they have set it, but this file
can't be used by everyone:
The here mentioned 20archive will override the settings for example
as it will be parsed later… So it might be even better to remove the
reference to this file as it can lead to misunderstandings…

If you mean var/apt/cache -> var/cache/apt typo:
This one is fixed for a while, just not yet uploaded to sid
(i think apt/experimental contains it already).
Anything else?

Oh, and now that we have the two clones here at apt,
what is the bug behind the initial bugreport (this one)?
