Bug#668305: apt: Silently installed cron job deletes files (despite comments to the contrary)

There was no mention of "20archive" in /etc/cron.daily/apt, thus I did
not check that. (And yes, I have that)

So there are two (three) bugs at present:
a) /etc/cron.daily/apt does not mention 20archive [minor]

b) update-notifier-common is installed in a default install and
deletes files without prompting the user about it [important]

And maybe
c) Some other errors in /etc/cron.daily/apt, as stated in my initial
mail.

Then this was perfect timing, I guess :-))

Unless you object I'll clone and reassign in the next days (probably
