Bug#668408: Bug#668305: apt: Silently installed cron job deletes files (despite comments to the contrary)

Maybe something along the lines of 
-# Create /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/02periodic file to set your preference.
+# Create /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/02periodic file to set your preference;
+# also note that other files in /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/ might set some 
+# of the settings.

Nope, this was the issue I had in mind.

Well, technically speaking none; I should've assigned the bug instead
of cloning it.

So would you be fine with the following:
close 668305
tags 668407 + patch
tags 668408 + pending
