Getting rid of the last major (only?) remaining user of cvs.debian.org is a large benefit. This is the last CVS repository most of us have to deal with. It's slow. It's a special case both in using CVS and in not being on alioth. Running the CVS pserver on gluck is an added security exposure for Debian. Bikeshedding over the VCS someone chooses to move to from CVS is, well, bikeshedding. -- see shy jo  Sadly an exposure alioth also currently has.
