I have this full list in my configuration but for some browsers or
specific browser configurations it seems necessary to also add "de-de",
"de-at", "de-ch", "de-li" etc to the list. Consequently this should also
be done for other languages, like english and spanish, which have a
quite long list (at least by looking at the configuration menu in
mozilla). I'm more in favour to tell people that they should not only
configure "de-foo" but also "de" in their browsers. IIRC the problem
appeared with konqueror, which derives its language config from the
global KDE settings, so it may not be easy to change this (I'm no KDE
user). One way this can be fixed for german users it to put de first in
LanguagePriority list but I'd like to see that all webmirrors behave in
the same way, i.e. all have english set as the default (e.g. necessary
when unavailable mirrors are temporarily fixed with DNS changes, which
happens from time to time).
