I discussed about my thoughts on general causes in a previous mail.But there are some topics like gender issues that are relevant to Debian. Debian is not just an operating system. It is also a community, one which declares its positive stand regarding diversity. If one does not want to participate in such discussions, they are free to not involve. But when participating, everyone should ensure that the communication is respectful to all and there is no CoC violation.
