More likely from malware running on compromised desktops and small
business Web sites. Spammers have realized that with HTML mail people
no longer see the full From: line (and wouldn't know what it meant if
they did). Phishing email can have
From: "Yourbank" <suzycutie@gmail.com>
and be effective. No need to open accounts when you can rent a botnet
of Windows boxes.
