I meant to say it would be interesting to know if the Samsung also resolves as a "faxout" URL, assuming this is significant and not part of a range of functions being identified.

Change

LogLevel warn

to

LogLevel debug

in /etc/cups/cupsd.conf

and restart cups and possibly cups-browsed
then examine

/var/log/cups/error_log
