To me, XFCE looks VERY DATED and out of the 90s.
If it looks dated just change the theme lol.

Xfce is lightweight, efficient and fast even on legacy hardware.
Xfce is reliable, rich with features and not bloated at the same time.
Xfce is customizable. GUI elements don't waste precious screen space with extra-extra-wide spans\margins.
Xfce is consistent and familiar.

Although consistency gets ruined by forced garbage features from GTK3 like Client-Side Decorations (custom title bar). Who thought that moving dialog window buttons (Ok, Cancel, Save, etc) from usual bottom side to an arbitrary location and separate them away is a good idea?  smh
