Hm. I don't get a clear conclusion from that long-winding bug
thread. But one (the more harmless) possibility seems to be
that the MTU is shorter than expected. This would be consistent
with (a) some /whatever/ doing encapsulation along the way, and
some /whatever else/ munching the "fragmentation needed" ICMPs
along the other way.

So perhaps doing an "ip link set <yourinterface> mtu 1400" or
something on the Linux side might help. Perhaps. Replace
<yourinterface> and 1400 by suitable values (a binary search
on the MTU value might help).

If it does, consider pinging the folks at the above bug. But
use a decent internet connection for pinging ;-)
