Years ago I used to put this in an ~/.Xresources file that would change
the font sizes for _all_ the terminals.
Xft.dpi: 96
Xft.antialias: true
Xft.rgba: rgb
Xft.hinting: true
Xft.hintstyle: hintslight
Might still do the job for you.
