Agreed (since Squeeze).
Apologies for not making my meaning clear enough. Try two:-
"It's you choice: if you don't choose an installer that has firmware
built-in; and don't have hardware that requires you to add blobs - you
will have no blobs"

Too many of whom discover their hardware choices (and software
expectations) require them. Especially when that limitation stops the
initial installation from a net-install. Hence the advice to consider
the hardware in light of that requirement.
