As the OP, my I quote my own subject line:
"Debian repository available on USB flash rather than CD/DVD sets?"

My original post stated:
   64 GB flash drives are available.
   I purchase complete DVD sets.
I would find it convenient to have a complete distro on a single device.

Therefore:
incomplete distributions of the relevant architecture are "out of spec".
  devices other than USB flash drives are "out of spec".

P.S. - I *DO* know that I'm [to say the least] peculiar ;}
