Re: kppp dialing process hang up on 'starting pppd'.

Hi, Scott...

Yes, my modem use '/dev/ttyUSB2'.
I've tried switching-off my wlan and unplug my wireline ethernet. But bring no change. My kppp hang up on 'starting pppd' without ending.

Dear friends....

Usually I use 3g modem for my internet connection. But since I did
"apt-get update&&  apt-get upgrade", I can not use my 3g internet
connection anymore.

My kppp dialing process hang up on 'starting pppd'. I didn't change
anything the configuration of my kppp.

Anybody has ever experienced the same problem?

No.
Which Debian release are you running?
Does your "3G internet" use /dev/ttyUSB* or some other device entry?

Push down your local network (if it's up)
Then try and connect using kppp:-
What does the kppp log show?
What about:-
$ tail /var/log/messages -n 22

Cheers
