Thanks for the resolvconf info. (I don't understand why it's used; if
I don't want a dhcp server's data push, I add a "supercede
domain-name..." stanza to "/etc/dhcp/dhclient.conf").

I was trying to point out that adding "dns-nameservers" to
"/etc/network/interfaces" without having resolvconf installed wouldn't
have any effect on "/etc/resolv.conf".
