I've been running 64-bit for 3 years now, and I have not had a single
issue with anything. Then again, I don't use much proprietary apps. I
only use the flash plugin, which I get directly from Adobe. I don't use
Skype, Acrobat, or other proprietary apps, of which there are no 64-bit
versions available. I've heard that if you want to keep using these
apps, there are a few headaches waiting for you in the 64-bit world.
Other than that, you should be fine.
