I'm gonna look a little more into this, and maybe involve my vga card in this using FurMark to see what happens there. Just ran FurMark for close to half an hour, all was nice and stable, no glitches whatsoever. This rules out the vga card as a problem for me. I also tried to run IntelBurnTest, which uses Intel's own Linpack testing tool for stressing CPUs. According to this tool, my CPU has a cooling issue, because it cannot produce consistent results. This is kind of a surprise to me, because I'm using the stock cooler and I'm not even overclocking. I always assumed that the stock cooler was more than enough, unless you overclock your CPU. Looks like I'll have to look for a new CPU cooler...
