Hrm, that is quite odd.  If the problem can't be reproduced, it probably 
can't be fixed -- at least not purposely.  It might be addressed by another 
code change, but it's probably not worth filing a bug.

If you can find a way to regularly reproduce it, or are at least willing to 
work with the debian-installer team to do so, then you might file a bug 
against debian-installer.  (I think that's the package name, but it might 
just be d-i or installation-report.)
