  If that fixes the problem too, great.  The main idea is to change the
input to the resolver to avoid the problem.

  I still haven't figured out why aptitude isn's resolving the
dependencies correctly. :-(  You're probably never going to be able to
upgrade to KDE 4 with safe-upgrade, though: it appears to *require*
removing bits of KDE 3, so safe-upgrade will refuse to do it.
