That motherboard seems to have an Intel ICH8 chipset, which should be
supported. Check your BIOS setup, maybe you can choose different modes
for the SATA drive. My own ICH8 SATA controller worked without problems
with the Etch installer and the BIOS set to "normal" mode for the drive.
(Your BIOS may use different names so you might have to try all
available modes.) Also make sure the drive is "active"; in some BIOSes
drives can be turned "off".
