if you wish to get help with making a debian package and a place to post
deb packages, look into the debian-mentors.net site, mailing list and
irc channel. This will allow you to get some alpha testing. At some
point, if you wish, you can then look for a Debian developer to
'sponsor' an upload into the unstable branch for beta testing where it
may get into the next debian release.
