Regardless of the topic of this sub-thread, there seems to be a
flameware starting over the value of Dell offering Linux. It seems one
camp is strongly in favor of the move, while others (like me) don't
understand why the price of the Dell computers will not drop considering
the cost of the O/S is nothing, and the installation is all done by
cloning a once setup drive and installed by robots into the computers.
Maybe I'm wrong and humans actually assemble the computers, but they
don't actually install an O/S on each and every one they make.
Needless to say, we are indeed in the midst of a flamewar, regardless
whether one things that google has become a monopoly or not.
