I agree with you, but I can tell you why that is so.  Most companies
don't trust things that come for volunteer organizations.  The attitude
of many people is "it's worth what you pay for it", which means that
free software has no value to them.  The attitude is quite prelevant in
the western world where capitalism has a strong firmhold.

This of course is quite false, especially in the software world, but
that doesn't mean people don't believe it.  It can be argued quite
effectively that other beliefs of people are false, but it doesn't stop
them from believing them.

Alas, the only way for people to realize what open source software can
do is to try it.  But if the people are prejudgemental, they won't see
the benefits even when staring right at them.
