What part of "the government and individual are bound by different
rules" don't you get?  For example, the Bible says "thou [singular you,
the individual] shalt not kill."  The Bible also prescribes how the
death penalty is to be carried out.  Murder is an individual act.
Execution is a government act.  The former is wrong, the latter, under
the right circumstances, is right.

Of course, there is also the fact (which I have already explained) that
the smiting on the cheek to which Jesus was referring is an act of
disrespect, not an act of violence.  People are expected to defend
themselves.

themselves as Christian are only nominally so.
