Sorry, I replied to the other message before I saw.  I didn't mean to
insult you.

I remember when I was in elementary school (in Virginia) that we were
taught the metric system because "the rest of the world uses it and
we're going to switch soon."  That never happened.

We really are off topic now aren't we?
