You need to brush up on your math skills if you think that $2.30 < $1.30
x 3.8.

You pay $2.30 per gallon, I pay $4.94.  It's not even close.

That explains one of the reasons that public transportation is much
better here, although in New York City, public transportation is also
readily available (unless it is raining :) )
