Here is your command: aptitude install firefox_ \ firefox-gnome-support_ \ iceweasel_ \ iceweasel-gnome-support_ \ epiphany-browser+ \ epiphany-extensions+ See I have included epiphany-browser and its extensions for you, as it would break dependencies and cause you more pain to read through the fixes. BTW, the "_" means to purge the packages with aptitude. With apt-get you'll need to do it in two steps: apt-get install epiphany-browser epiphany-extensions apt-get remove --purge \ firefox \ firefox-gnome-support \ iceweasel \ iceweasel-gnome-support That should do it. Then go down and download the Mozilla statically compiled binary and install it. And goodbye support for automatic updates (security or otherwise) from Debian. and Just for the record, I have been using Iceweasel since the day it dropped into Sid. There have only been a couple of minor problems with extensions (even less than Firefox has with them) -- greg@gregfolkert.net Novell's Directory Services is a competitive product to Microsoft's Active Directory in much the same way that the Saturn V is a competitive product to those dinky little model rockets that kids light off down at the playfield. -- Thane Walkup
