FQDN name
Can anyone help, I am in desperate need of help!
I am trying to set the FQDN domain of my debian box, I have read that to set the dns name in resolv.conf use:
domain domain.com
I have tried this but when I issue
#hostname --fqdn
It shows up as: localhost.localdomain
or
#dnsdomainname
It still shows up as: localdomain
I am thinking this is coming from /etc/hosts but when I configure resolv.conf shouldnt it be changed to that domain?
Many thanks to all who can help.
