Indeed.  Those are pretty good reasons.  Another is if your site
admin doesn't want you running Lotus Notes 7 yet.

I'm a Domino/Notes developer, and i can tell you that:
time ago i've installed LotusNotes 6.5 on Linux with no problem with wine -
the only one problem was that the server console make wine crash.

1. You need to run the basic installation *on a Windows computer* ...

Those contortions are no longer needed; Notes installs properly on
wine 0.9.19 or later.  See

for more details.  Somebody should go hit the maintainer of nsftools.com
with a cluestick... I've emailed him several times about how out of
date his instructions are, but he hasn't updated the page yet.
