Hi Simon,

these aren't good news. I want to set up a server (Web and PostgresDB) with debian, so I don't know if I should use the etch release. As far as I know, it is still in a beta version. Do you think it is stable enough to be used?

I had a similar problem. I tried to install Sarge (i386) with the 2.6
kernel (option "linux26" did work for me) on my new SATA drive, but the
installer wouldn't find the HDD. So I switched to Etch and this worked
w/o any problems.
