My system is pure Sarge with the sole exception that I downloaded and compiled kernel-source-2.6.11 from testing as the 2.6.8 kernel did not give me full access to my dvd-rw drive. Accordingly, I have only entries for Sarge in my sources.list. What I meant to say was that if you go to the Debian web site, select packages and search for linux-source it is not found in any distribution.
This search works for me:

(There were problems recently with the packages.debian.org server. Maybe
you tried your search when it was still not 100% restored.)
If you want to use the 2.6.15 kernel with Sarge it might be better to
get the backported one from www.backports.org.
