Re: Programming language for financial modeling



Before going into the general purpose scripting and programming
languages, there are a bunch of languages designed purposefully for
modelling.

If you are doing simulations there is SIMULA.

R (http://www.r-project.org/), the statistical app., also allows you
to create scripts and modules useful for modelling.

These tend to have tools and statistical tests easily available for
analysing the results of models and this means less work for you.
