Basically you are setting the stage for a long list of posts about various programming languages. :-} Python has that whole whitespace for control thing. Love it or hate it I think all would agree that if it were not for that one feature that Python would be the dominant language today if not for that one design decision. Pretty much all comparisons of Ruby and Python will be to Perl and everthing said about Ruby would apply to Python and the reverse. They are really quite similar as compared to Perl. You probably could not go wrong with either of them. Personally I really like Ruby. Bob
