Fwd: Re: kernel upgrade from 2.4 to 2.6.8-2-686

Roberto,

I responded to your personal email account.

My CPU is a Pentium P5. The previous kernel name ended
with -586.

I didn't see any 2.6.8 kernels ending with -586 ao I
loaded the -686.

Tried the -386 kernel. The machine boots but Debian
v3.1 doesn't come along with it.
