A quick look at linuxprinting.org shows that you need the gdi driver : http://www.linuxprinting.org/show_printer.cgi?recnum=Samsung-ML-1710 $ apt-file search gdi | grep -i samsung [...] foomatic-filters-ppds: usr/share/ppd/Samsung/Samsung-ML-1710-gdi.ppd.gz [...] Install this package then restart CUPS and your printer should be listed. -- strawks <strawks@yahoo.fr>
