That's what I do too ... except that I also compile the kernel from the
source and .config that is referenced when building the prism modules.  I
have p80211.ko and prism2_usb.ko in /lib/modules/2.6.12.3/linux-wlan-ng for
my 2.6.12.3 kernel.
