Hi Amira,
from my little experience the solution for this is to remove the font which i
causing the problem (e.g GLcore, speedo ...) then try again
#startx
another nice solution is to insert a Knoppix /kanotix live cd and then copy
the /etc/X11/XFree86-4 file to the original /etc/X11/XFree86-4
and use it .
If did not work send back the exact error message,
